What are teeth in a day or same-day teeth?

Same-day teeth procedures involve surgery to place four to six dental implants in your jaw. The implants support a full-arch prosthesis, that supports your full bite force and stimulates and maintains healthy jawbone growth. Following the implant placement, you may receive a temporary prosthesis that serves as a stand-in until you are ready for the final prosthesis shortly after.

How long do same-day teeth last?

Teeth in a day is a permanent tooth replacement procedure. 94% of procedures are successful after ten years. Your prosthesis may need a repair after the 10-year mark, but the dental implants in your jawbone last for a lifetime.

What to expect during the procedure – start to finish?

Your initial consultation serves to gather the necessary information to establish eligibility and create a treatment plan. Your entire treatment timeline will take place over at least three appointments. Before your implant placement, Dr. Ali will extract any remaining teeth and clean the surgical area. Dr. Ali will place the implants in your final appointment and attach your temporary prosthesis.

Initial Consultation

The first step to your teeth in a day procedure is scheduling a consultation with our office. Dr. Ali will begin with X-rays and dental imaging to determine the best restorative treatment for you. During your consultation, they will answer any questions regarding the procedure.

Eligibility Determination and Procedure Planning

Dr. Ali uses advanced examination and diagnostic tools to determine your eligibility for teeth in a day and the subsequent procedural plan. Our office will provide you with a copy of the step-by-step process for your procedure and care instructions following surgery. Dr. Ali will also prescribe any pain management medication for you to fill prior to your procedure day.

Procedure Day

On the day of your procedure, you will come into the office with your old teeth and leave with a new smile. The transformation is dramatic and immediate, and it takes place in just a few hours. Dr. Ali will clean and prepare your mouth and place six implants in your jaw that support a temporary prosthetic arch. Various forms of sedation provided in the office ensure that you will not be conscious or feel any pain during the procedure. After your procedure, you will move to a recovery room to regain consciousness under the supervision of in-house dentist anesthesiologist Dr. Ali and trained staff. When you awake, you won’t be able to stop smiling, thanks to your beautiful new set of teeth.

Are same-day teeth the same as dentures?

Traditional dentures are temporary, removable, and high maintenance. All-on-6 dental implants support a permanent denture that looks, feels, and functions like your natural teeth. The implants fuse with your jawbone and stimulate healthy bone growth, restoring your natural oral functions and preserving your facial structure.

Removable dentures are notorious for causing discomfort and speech issues. An implant-supported denture lets you eat a restriction-free diet because your bite force transfers to the jawbone, like natural teeth, instead of your gums. So, you can speak and eat without worrying about embarrassing slippage and oral discomfort.

Are teeth in a day the same as traditional dental implants?

All-on-6 utilizes six traditional dental implants to replace a whole row of teeth with a permanent denture. We use state-of-the-art, computerized implant placement technology to reduce the recovery time and enable the placement of a temporary prosthesis immediately following surgery. So, you get the benefits of dental implants without the discomfort and treatment timeline required to replace all your teeth with individual dental implants.

What is the average cost of all-on-6 dental implants?

The cost is different in every case, based on specialists, tests, and your general state of health. But, on average, the cost of all-on-6 dental implants is $25,000 per arch. Our office is happy to assist you in finding financing solutions for your same-day teeth procedure. Call our office to learn about financing your procedure with CareCredit or our in-house package deals.

Are you a good candidate for all-on-6 dental implants?

If you currently use full or partial dentures or are missing multiple teeth, all-on-6 dental implants can drastically improve your oral health and quality of life. Same-day teeth look natural and restore your oral functions, so you can eat, communicate, and smile with confidence. Call our office to schedule a consultation and learn about fixing your teeth in a day with all-on-6 dental implants.
